Swaniketan was conceptualised to address these concerns and create a home that enables parents and their differently-abled loved one to thrive with dignity, in a community that allows them to reclaim their freedom.

Screening Process

1.

Parents / Guardian fill out health, psychosocial assessment form.

2.

One or more parents / guardian have a meeting with Tarangan psychosocial assessment panel.

3.

Entire family + PwSN meeting with Tarangan psychosocial assessment panel.

4.

After clearing psychosocial assessment, follows financial assessment.

5.

In financial assessment, parents to share their net-worth and how they are going to fund the buying of the flat and set aside money for their child / adult.

6.

Parents will provide a legal document (ideally, a Will) that indicates that the funds which will come from sale of the flat will be made available for their child in the future. These funds will be transferred to the private trust of the child / adult.

7.

After first level of assessment is done, Tarangan will be informed so that the parent can buy the flat.

8.

The next level of clearance is before possession. The family has to disclose that their Wills and Private trust are in place so that they can go ahead with the possession from PSCL.
